Pineda: Kris Aquino refuses to be provoked by netizen

Kris Aquino on James Yap's second baby with Michela Cazzola: “No offense BUT annulled na kami.”

Kris Aquino refused to be provoked by a netizen pitting her against James Yap's Italian partner Michela Cazzola: “Dapat lang po lumayo ako kasi the past is the past and I know how to respect the present.”

This was after a netizen left a link of a news article about James's growing family on Kris's Instagram account. Michela gave birth to her and James's daughter Francesca Michelle Wednesday, June 27. They also have a son, Michael James, who is turning two on August 8.

Addressing the netizen, Kris responded, “@lahlyntimosv no offense BUT annulled na kami. Life has moved forward.”

Kris married James on July 10, 2005; but they separated in June 2010 and got their marriage annulled by February 2012. James reportedly met Michela in 2011, but only began dating in August 2012. The same netizen also tried to pit Kris against Michela, “Ang layo mo sa asawa ni James tahimik at Hindi pa pansin. Lol”

The netizen's comment seemed to be a shade against Kris who is known for being outspoken and whose life is an open book to the public, contrary to Michela who pretty much leads a private life except for occasional media appearances with James.

But Kris refused to take the bait and kept her response on a positive note: “@lahlyntimosv dapat lang po lumayo ako kasi the past is the past and I know how to respect the present.”

In a separate exchange of comments, Kris acknowledged a netizen's observation that her son Bimby got his good looks from both her and James. Kris wrote, “@princessmqu not offended at all... basta pinuri ang anak ko-i'm happy.”

That Kris kept her cool was a direct contrast to when she lashed out at James's “hypocrisy” after he greeted their son Bimby on the latter's 11th birthday last April. Admittedly airing their “dirty laundry” on social media, Kris took offense with James's alleged lack of financial support, negligence, and indifference especially at times when Bimby needed his protection the most.

She also revealed that Bimby and James's father-son relationship had been damaged since the basketball player issued hurtful words toward the kid during the ex-couple's court battle for child custody years ago.

James, however, refused to respond to Kris's allegations. Kris eventually opted to move forward, saying that she is a mother who refuses to “shiver, quiver, or waver” when her children are at stake.

Then on June 17, she spoke about her desire for things to be better between James and Bimby by asking her son to make a surprise Father's Day video. But Kris noted that Bimby is not yet ready for a reconciliation with James.

Based on her candid conversation with Bimby over a Facebook Live video, Kris told her son: “When the time comes you are actually ready, please don’t ever feel na si Mama ang nagpi-prevent sa iyo. Don’t feel na I’m the one, ha? Na it’s out of loyalty for me or anything like that, because your mama is ready.”

Kris then expressed her hope that James will reach out to Bimby first.

One of the first beauty secrets Bea Alonzo revealed via her YouTube channel, By Bea, was calamansi, a popular whitening agent found in many Filipino households.

“First of all, kung gusto mo pumuti iyong mga singit mo or mga siko mo, ito iyong secret na ginagawa sa akin ni Mama noon: calamansi,” Bea began.

“Sobrang effective siya! “Ilalagay mo lang sa siko or doon sa areas na gusto mo pumuti, then just leave it on for 30 minutes or more. Then rinse it with warm water.”

Bea Alonzo's beauty secrets cost less than 50 pesos. During her Amanpulo getaway in early June, she set up her camera and gave a step-by-step beauty tutorial of the tricks she learned from her mom Mary Ann when she was growing up.

The next kitchen ingredient Bea used was eggs. Mommy Mary Ann had different beauty purposes for the egg white and the egg yolk. The egg white, mixed with honey, was often used as a facial mask for Bea.

“Kung medyo madali ka mag-pimples, I suggest gawin mo ito at home,” the actress said. “Ginagawa ito ni Mama dati... As in dati, habang ginagawa ito sa akin ni Mama—siyempre kapag ka na-dry-an siya nagiging tight na siya sa skin.”

Bea recalled how she stayed inside their house while the mask dried on her face, and couldn't go outside to play: “Iyong mga kalaro ko nasa labas sila. As in [nakapatong lang sa kamay] iyong face ko sa window habang tinitignan ko iyong mga cousins ko na naglalaro. Sinsabi ko, ‘Sali ako.’ After nito, mas magiging less oily na skin mo.”

And what about the egg yolk? The egg yolk was used as Bea's homemade hair mask.

Bea said, “Iyong egg yolk kasi has a lot of protein and vitamins that’s good for your hair. It really helps. Dati, ginagawa sa akin ito ni Mama.”
