SOPHI, Inc. treads on a slightly different path as a BPO with a unique set of clients, a more fun, relaxed environment and a strong sense of commitment among employees.
Founded in 2008 in Dumaguete, SOPHI was then an in-house call center for a website that offered cheap airfare for students. Now, SOPHI, Inc. specializes in outsourcing for small businesses and startups based in the United States and Europe. The BPO has a carefully curated roster of clients as SOPHI prefers to take in more unconventional businesses like a tuxedo rental company and a mobile staffing app.
SOPHI made its foray to Cebu in December 2017 with only two agents. Now, there are 30 agents in the Cebu hub.
It was a day of celebration for the company last June 30 as it officially opened and moved in to its permanent home in Cebu at Mabuhay Tower in Cebu IT Park.
“We’re a family here at SOPHI. People actually care about their clients and the company. They genuinely believe in the company and without them, it wouldn’t be what it is today,” said CEO Chloe Franken-Ututalum.
