Ang maong partnership gilangkoban sa Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD), Vitens Evides International B.V (VEI) pinaagi ni Folkert de Jager, Unifrutti Tropical Philippines Inc, ni Alberto Paterno Bacani, Wetlands International ni Dr Annadel Cabanban, Netherlands Red Cross ni Sonia Morales ug FRRL Industrial Trading Corporation ni Francis Roy Lanuza.
Ang maong panagtigom gitambongan ni Mayor Oscar Moreno, kadagko-an sa (COWD) pinaagi na usab nila ni Eduardo Montalvan, chairman sa COWD, Engr. Bienvendo Batar Jr., ilabi na sa Ambassador sa Netherlands nga si Marion Derckx lakip na usab sa Mayor sa Talakag nga si Mayor Vergit Factura diin planong pagahimuon ang reforestation alang sa maong proyekto ug sa Philippine Red Cross ug sa Hineleban Foundation Inc, pinaagi ni Dr. Urooj S. Malik.
Sa pakighinabi kang Engr. Batar sa COWD gibutyag niini nga ang maong proyekto dakong tabang sa katawhan sa Cagayan de Oro diin una niini mao ang reforestation sa bukirang bahin sa Bukidnon aron nga mapugngan ang pagbaha dinhi sa dakbayan, paghatag og supply sa tubig o connection sa 7,000 ka katawhan nga anaa sa mga relocation sites.
“Duna’y reforestation nga e-plano nga himuon ang purpose ana is para lugar masugdan ang pag himo sa mga mas resilient nga paggamit sa watershed, unya naka prevent sa flooding sama sa nahitabo sa Sendong, Vinta, Pablo sa uban pa nga calamities sa Cagayan” tipik sa pahayag ni Batar.
“Sunod dayon naa ta’y provision of 7,000 connections sa mga relocation sites in the City sa pagkakaron naa pa ta’y mga 2,000 na na identified na nga mga households sulod sa mga 12 relocation sites in 5 barangays, finally kaning efficiency sa COWD apil na ang reduction sa Non-Revenue Water (NRW), resiliency sa atong facilities nga ma prevent ang flooding uban pa nga mga resiliency nga force, tabangan mi ani nga project,” dugang niini.

“We’re in a little bit replanting the forest, develop from a model. In the long run we will assure the people of Cagayan de Oro of river that is flowing all here along, in a moderate way and not like now, sometimes it’s dry and sometimes you have terrible floods so when there are forest, up in the mountains, when they’re back you will have more water in the river and more gradual water flow and we hope it also will fight the flooding from the river,” tipik sa pahayag ni Derckx.
