SEVEN out of 700 job-order and casual workers in different local government units in Cebu were found positive for illegal drug use during surprise drug tests from June 18 to July 4, said the Cebu Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Office (CPADAO).
Six of them work for the Dalaguete Municipal Government, while one is assigned at the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao City.
They will undergo confirmatory tests, said CPADAO executive director Carmen Remedios Durano-Meca. Meca told reporters yesterday said that aside from Dalaguete and Danao City, they conducted surprise drug tests in San Francisco town in Camotes Island and Samboan.
In Dalaguete, Mayor Ronald Cesante and other elective officials also participated in the surprise drug test. (JKV)
