ABS-CBN's Coco Martin wants to work with GMA artist Maine Mendoza

IT'S true! Coco Martin wants to work with GMA star Maine Mendoza.

"Feeling ko pareho kaming masa," said the Probinsiyano lead star.

Does he also watch Eat Bulaga? "Oo, napapanood ko rin. Kaya sabi ko dating-dati pa, sana makatrabaho ko siya."

Does he want Maine to be his leading lady? "Sana lang mapagbigyan."

Has he already talked to Maine and/or her camp? "Hindi pa, e. Gusto ko malinis na malinis na ang script kapag pinasa sa kanila para...alam mo na. Baka hindi nila magustuhan, nakakahiya."

Coco revealed that he will not direct his 2018 Metro Manila Film Fest entry with Vic Sotto. Their MMFF 2018 entry is titled Popoy En Jack: The Puliscredibles is produced by MZet, APT Entertainment and CCM Films.

How does he feel about their entry being chosen as one of the first four official entries of MMFF 2018? "Pangarap ko na makatrabaho si Bossing [Vic]. Akala ko nga hindi niya tanggapin ang inaalok ko," he said about this project, which the ABS-CBN actor conceptualized.

Earlier reports indicated that Coco (as Rodel Nacianceno) would serve as the director but he clarified this by saying, "Hindi muna ngayon kasi ako nagdi direk ng Ang Probinsyano.

"Si Mike Tuviera [the director]. Sa creative, ako ang creative."

Is it true that Maine will be his leading lady in their MMFF 2018 entry?

"Honestly, binubuo pa kasi namin. Siyempre, marami pang ina-ano. Isa siya sa mga pinapangarap kong makatrabaho as in dati pa. Feeling ko pareho kaming masa. Kasi nanonood rin ako ng mga ginagawa nila."

Was there an offer for Coco and Vice Ganda to team up again in a movie?

Coco pointed out, "As of now, wala pa kasi naka-dalawang magsunod kami. "Saka ang alam ko, may gagawing si Vice. Maganda rin ang project niya. Baka kung may maisip kaming magandang konsepto."

Is Coco now on good terms with Vice Ganda?

"Okay na," he admitted. "Sinabi ko naman, e. Sinabi ko naman last, last year na nagkaroon ng tampuhan. Normal naman sa magkaibigan pero sabi ko nga, nung nagkita kami sa [MMFF] parade, wala na. "Nagkayakapan kami. [Sabi namin], 'Para tayong t*nga.' Samantalang, tayo yung magkakampi. Tapos biglang nagkaroon ng tampuhan. After that, wala na. Okay na."

Christian Bautista and fiancée Kat Ramnani choose the National Museum of Natural History as backdrop for their prenup shoot. Though they were initially not allowed to hold the shoot there, Kat wrote a long letter to the director of the museum to formally convince them about the symbolism of the museum for their prenup.

Shot by their good friend and celebrity wedding photographer Pat Dy, Christian and Kat specifically chose the museum for their prenup shoot as it symbolizes their principles, interests, and ideals as a couple.

"We wanted to pick a venue that represented us and represented our love for the country. We wanted our prenup to stand for something," says the soon-to-be-bride. There are a lot of beautiful prenups out there, but for us as a couple, we had a lot to say. We wanted our prenup to talk about us, and what we love, and how much we love the Philippines and Manila."

Initially, the National Museum of Natural History didn't allow Christian, Kat, and Pat to hold the shoot at the museum. But Kat was adamant to make their plan happen, so she took the initiative to write a formal letter to the director of the museum, Director Jeremy Barns.

She continued: "We reached out to National Museum for Natural History and they told us ‘no’ first. They don’t allow photo shoots. So I wrote a plea, a long letter, and I plead my case. I explained why the museum represented us as a couple—why it meant so much to us and what it would mean [to have our prenup photo shoot there]. The director of the museum—Director Barns, amazing man—read the letter and he said yes! We went, we got our permit, and we shot!"

Christian, a landscape architecture graduate, couldn't have asked for a more "fantastic" venue to hold their prenup shoot.

"It really portrays a lot of great, great shots of the architecture, the interior design of the museum. And I felt that when I saw some of the photos—I haven’t seen everything yet—it portrays a lot of strength that you need for the foundations of your marriage."

When Christian and Kat revealed their engagement on November 3, 2017, Pat immediately reached out to the bride-to-be.

Kat remarked, "He was the first person to call me. The first person. As soon as we posted online, within 45 seconds, it was Pat who reached out."

Pat was one of the first people to help Kat navigate through the next chapter of her life. She said, "He was just a wealth of advice and kindness during a very overwhelming time with all these messages! I didn’t know what to do, and Pat was just a beacon of light in a very exciting time."

Christian and Kat are getting married in the latter part of 2018. It will be an intimate wedding overseas with their closest loved ones, to be followed by a grand wedding reception in Manila. The gorgeous bride-to-be also accompanied her prenup shoot posts with their official hashtag, #letsgetreadytoRAMBAU. Kat, a lover of puns as evidenced by her Instagram captions, made a wordplay of boxing announcer Michael Buffer's famous catchphrase, "Let's get ready to rumble!"

Sam Milby's ex-girlfriend Mari Jasmine admits she is in a relationship with a lesbian. For the first time, Mari revealed her relationship with Baka Bukas director Samantha Lee. Mari is a model-TV host, better known in showbiz circles as the ex-girlfriend of Kapamilya actor Sam Milby.

In Mari's Instagram post dated July 4, she spoke about her pride for being part of the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual) community. Mari related how she found a circle of true friends who knew about her sexual orientation since she came to Manila five years ago.

“Pride is about celebrating love, equality, and owning your truth. So here’s mine: in the little time I’ve spent on this earth, I’ve had the privilege of being in love with both men and women. Filipinos are known to be some of the most loving people on earth. As a foreigner arriving in Manila over 5 years ago, I can attest to this - I’ve been accepted and treated with love and compassion from day one. I’ve been welcomed to family dinners, been nurtured, taken care of and was never made to feel like an outsider.”

Then Mari expressed her dream of a time when she can openly hold “my girlfriend’s hand” in public without being judged by the society.

“My dream is for the same kind of love, compassion, and understanding to be shown to the LGBTQIA+ community. We still have a long way to go to reach acceptance and equality, especially here in the Philippines. My dream is to live in a world where I feel safe walking down the street holding my girlfriend’s hand. A world where I have the same fundamental human rights that I would be entitled to if I were in a straight, heteronormative relationship.”

Together with their common friends, Mari and her partner Samantha Lee attended the pride month celebration at the Marikina Sports Center last June 30. Mari even showed some of their photos taken from the event in the same Instagram post. Then Mari appealed to her Instagram followers to reach out to their loved ones who may be scared of coming out.

“To those who don’t have any friends or family in the LGBTQIA+ community, I implore you to reach out and start learning. We are often only afraid of the things we don’t know or understand. To reach equality, we need our allies to be as passionate and vocal about our rights as we are."

She added, “To the LGBTQIA+ community and to those who are still questioning/figuring out who you are - you are wonderful, worthy and loved. Don’t let any person or any institution let you think otherwise. I stand by you and I will fight with you forever!”
