IT’S possible to be a little naughty but still nice, as Azure Beach Club at Crimson Resort and Spa managed to pull off perfectly well at its Naughtical summer party. The nautical theme was all over from the moment guests arrived, with the option to don a sailor hat or a necklace with an anchor pendant.
Guests had the option of dining before joining the party. Some joined the open-air buffet at the beachside with a wide spread of seafood served fresh or grilled, while others opted to sample Azure’s menu items, such as garlic chicken tandoori, bacon cheese samosas, and the bestselling mainstay, tuna tataki.
For Naughtical, the bartenders prepared a special lineup of six bespoke cocktails to complement the excitement of a summer party. The crowd started making their way to the open area to watch a cool LED dance show by Flow Arts and other contemporary dance numbers by talented young performers. To turn up the heat a little further, there was a special presentation by pole sport athletes (not your usual idea of pole dancers, mind you) from Fit and Fab Cebu. The strength and flexibility of the performers that seemed to defy friction and gravity as they climbed high and spun to music, even turning upside down or extending sideways on the poles with just the use of their hands and arms, had the crowd in awe. DJ’s Jude Flores and Kate Jagdon had everyone aboard the party vibe as they spun music from the boat-themed DJ booth.
As Azure goes full speed ahead rolling out unique event concepts, these are sure to continue attracting Cebu’s regular partyphiles and hotel guests looking for a different entertainment experience.
