AFTER beating Ceres Negros FC, 4-1, at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City last month, Kaya Iloilo FC hosts the Busmen at 4 p.m. today at Iloilo Sports Complex, hoping for a back-to-back win.

Kaya is coming off a 4-2 victory over visiting Stallion Laguna FC on Wednesday as Barotac Nuevo's pride Jovin Bedic scored a hat-trick in the second half.

Bedic also hit a penalty on the 28th minute after Robert Lopez Mendy beat the Stallion keeper in the 11th minute.

Ceres FC is leading the Philippines Football League with 44 points while Kaya trails at second with 32. The Busmen have back-to-back victories over Stallion at Panaad on similar 2-0 scores on June 27 and July 1.

OJ Porteria returned from a one-game suspension scoring both goals on June 27 and Takasi Uesato did the same feat on July 1 as the Japanese got his form back after a long slump.

Today's match will be a tough one as Kaya defends its unblemished record in its new turf, the closest one was a 1-1 draw against Ceres.

With Mendy and Bedic and the rest having a high morale, Coach Noel Marcaida expects to repeat over Risto Vidakovic's charges.

Ceres, however, has become unpredictable with its game plan and its personnel as the Busmen recuperate from injuries and are available after suspension.

Regardless of the outcome today, both will meet again on Wednesday, July 11, as Kaya plays host again in its new and lucky field.
