SIX persons were arrested in separate drug bust in Negros Occidental from July 7 to 9.
On July 9, Noel Malan, 55, of Zone 2, Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City was arrested in a drug bust that resulted to a recovery of 15 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), drug paraphernalia, and P670 in cash.
He is a newly identified and street-level target drug personality.
Also arrested yesterday was Fred Mark Jalea, 32, of Barangay Binubuhan, Bago City, after police seized from him two sachets of suspected shabu.
On July 8, Lorenzo Nazareno, 42, and Reymus Alacio, 45, both residents of Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City were collared for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs in the said village. Both are newly-identified drug personalities.
Police confiscated from them three sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P7,000, the P300 marked money, coin purse, and P340 in cash.
In another operation in the same village, Val Katalbas, 56, was also arrested for allegedly selling a shabu to a police agent for P500. He is also a newly-identified drug personality.
Police also recovered from him a lighter, P240 in cash, and a motorcycle.
Last Saturday, drug surrenderer Justin Gayoso of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, was arrested which resulted to a recovery of 10 sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money and a coin purse.
