THE Angeles City Information Office (CIO) conducted a basic Kulitan Workshop on Saturday, July 7, not just for Kapampangan youth, but also everyone who are willing to learn about the indigenous Kapampangan script.
Professor Mike Pangilinan, executive director of Sidduan ning Ámánang Kabiasnang Kapampángan, conducted the Kulitan workshop and taught everyone about the history of Kulitan, its significant uses and basic Kulitan writing.
Pangilinan said : “There may not be a lot of people who are interested about being taught with the script, but whenever I teach it in one of my classes, no people show zero attention to it. I am glad that people are still doing their best to preserve Kulitan.”
The Angeles CIO is planning on holding more workshops ahead, starting on the last week of July, which is all about advanced Kulitan lessons. (Longino Pamintuan, HAU Intern)
