INTERNATIONAL concert pianist Dr. Ingrid Sala-Santamaria (ISS) has accomplished still another step up the ladder of global musical presence!
The new YouTube channel “Dr. ISS” opens with an introductory interview in Cebu by our very own Sam Costanilla, and features six compact discs with their audio digitally recorded and with visuals super-imposed.
These six CDs feature the masterpieces of world-renowned composers Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Liszt, Beethoven, Brahms and Mendelssohn, and contain 11 piano concertos, which were recorded by Dr. ISS with the MSO (Manila Symphony Orchestra) with Prof. Arturo Molina as conductor and Prof. Jeffrey Solares as music director.
Doing the meticulous task of compiling and collating the photos and other visuals was Dr. Amor Hernando while videographer Anric Boholst superimposed these on the CD recordings. With such a powerful team behind these new YouTube uploads, we guarantee you a most spectacular musical experience!
On the subject of piano concerts, Ayala Center-Cebu recently treated mall goers to “A Night of Music – Volume 2,” bringing two of the country’s finest classical pianists up close! Twice the musical majesty were Justin Joseph de Leon (first place winner) and Juan Paolo Panagsagan (second place), of the Leonor Kilayko 2017 Piano competition. Both products of the prestigious University of the Philippines, College of Music, the duo enthralled the early evening shoppers with non-stop enchanting melodies.
