Closer to Little Nam

LITTLE NAM, that tiny Vietnamese food stall along Mamay Road after the Damosa complex and right before Sumo Hotel in Lanang, is a favorite.

Except that... it is too far away and traffic in those parts is horrendous. Thus, when Little Nam's owner Jeanne PM'd that they are opening a branch downtown, I was looking forward to it. Except that... I was out of town on her opening date. Nyahahaha.

hus, when my friend from another millennium, Cerwin Eviota, PM'd to say they are visiting and would want to have dinner with me, I quickly suggested Little Nam along Mayo Street (beside the rear side of Sampaguita Inn). It turned out that Cerwin is now the chief relations officer of PhilTram Transportation Consortium.

So, there we were, discussing about Inter-Modal Modern Transportation Solutions for Davao City with PhilTram Transportation Consortium chief of technology architect and founder Jose Guardo Jr. and Dino Ferdinand “Dinferd” Galido, their business development officer for Davao, and yes, slurping on Little Nam's Hu Tieu Special.

Actually, when I arrived, Cerwin already ordered. Aside from the Hu Tieu, they already got the Muc Chien Don and the fried spring rolls. I told them I will order the Suon Ram Mam, which I simply call “humba.”

As the men dug into the food, and Guardo got his first taste of the “humba,” he ordered another one. Nyahahaha! Little Nam did not disappoint. It's still as good as before, and just by writing this, I'm craving to head on off right now.

Little Nam downtown is along Mount Mayon Street just a few meters from the corner of Quirino Avenue. If you're wondering where Mount Mayon is, it's that street that forks from the street of the Sampaguita Inn entrance.
