CONSOLACION Sarok fended off the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles, 73-65, and clinched a finals berth in the 2018 Magis Eagles Basketball Invitational League in the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City last Friday night.
Traves Mantua paced Consolacion with a game-high 26 points off an 8-of-13 shooting. Errol Pastor also made an impact, flirting with a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Consolacion thrived down low as they scored 42 of its points from the paint compared to the 28 of the Magis Eagles.
Consolacion led from the get-go with 24-18 edge after the first quarter and 35-32 at the half before ending the third quarter with a 52-47 lead. (RSC)
