Skills training to be held in Porac town

PORAC Vice Mayor Dexter David on Sunday, July 15, announced the opening of free skills training program initiated by Vice Governor Dennis Pineda.

Pineda implemented the program which is open to interested local residents in a bid to give more people here relevant skills for employment.

David said that they are opening the Provincial Community-Based Masonry and Capentry Training for an initial 50 slots.

The training will culminate in the conferment of the national certification (NC) II to the trainees through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Interested participants may register at the Office of the Vice Mayor from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Deadline of the application is on July 23, 2018.

David said the courses cater to the needs of the local industries and can provide employment for those who have undergone training as most of the skills provided are in demand today.

The said programs are made possible through the efforts of Vice Mayor Dexter David and his sister, Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon. It also involved the support of Mayor Condralito dela Cruz and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda.

David said that he is also coordinating with government agencies and industry partners for the possible employment of those who finished the training for their easy employment.

He added that the training would give the needed skills for the trainees who in turn would be directly fielded for hiring after the training session. David said that the program is ideal for local residents who would like to get the needed skills for possible employment in the town or inside Clark Freeport.
