SACHETS of illegal drugs, illegal firearms and ammunitions were seized in two separate operations by the Pampanga Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) to implement search warrants in the City of San Fernando and San Simon town recently.
Jhay Arceo also known as “Joey”, 54, a suspected drug user, was arrested after PDEU personnel implemented the search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 46 in this city against Arceo after authorities found seven sachets containing methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in his residence in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were filed against Arceo, who is currently detained in the city police.
PDEU personnel also implemented a warrant against one Renato “Ka Tato” Macapagal in Sitio Timac in Barangay San Juan in San Simon town.
Macapagal was allegedly involved in various robbery or holdup incidents in San Simon and nearby towns.
The suspect was able to elude arrest during the operation. But police were able to recover a caliber .38 gun, 58 pieces of live ammunitions and a hand grenade from Macapagal's residence.
Criminal offense for Violation of the RA 10591 or the Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunitions has been filed against the suspect who remains at large as of Sunday afternoon, July 15.
