RL Star to face PSC in local league finals

BRACE for an exciting basketball showdown when the Cherrylume-powered Catalunan Grande Basketball League (CGBL) finals rolls out this coming Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Gaisano Grand Citimall Skygym.

Two out of eight teams will battle it out for supremacy as the RL Star takes on PSC at 6:00pm.

PSC, led by Bago Aplaya barangay captain Isidro Dujali, arranged a titular showdown against RL Star after beating Team SAD in the semifinals last July 9 at the Monte Maria Village covered court.

RL Star, for its part, won over Team Damn via game forfeiture.

While PSC will bank on their balance scoring and game phasing, the veteran-laden RL Star will lean on the leadership of Police Chief Inspector Michael Uyanguren.

The champion will receive P10,000 and a trophy while the runner up will take home P5,000 and a trophy as well.

The event is sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Davao. (ABM)
