A total of 330 SM Foundation scholar graduates from all over the country were presented to Henry Sy Sr., his wife, and his family during a fellowship dinner at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City last June 27.

It was attended by SM executives, school administrators and their parents.

The scholars from 105 partner universities and colleges throughout the country, together with their parents/guardians, attended the program to celebrate the 22nd batch and the presentation of graduates by the foundation. Of the 330 scholars, 149 of them are from the National Capital Region, 115 from Luzon, 57 from Visayas and 12 from the Mindanao regions.

The scholars also participated in the job search at the SMX Function Rooms before the fellowship night. They were offered jobs in various companies owned by the SM Group.

Loida Ongteco de Vera, the guest speaker and part of the first batch of SM scholars herself, shared her inspiring journey from being a scholar-student to what she is now. She is now working as an operations manager of SM Hypermarket.

SM Foundation maintains 2,000 college scholars yearly and another 2,000 technical vocational scholars.

At least, more than 3,000 scholars already graduated under the SM Foundation education program.
