FORMER Philippine men’s team Gilas Pilipinas center Marcus Douthit is in Bacolod City to train Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts’ big men.
This was confirmed by team manager Roger Montalbo who said they were trying to improve their quality of basketball. “He is here for three days to train our high school and elementary big men and we simply mean business here," he added.
The 38-year-old naturalized Douthit cannot stay for the entire season because he has other commitment overseas as an import.
Douthit played an important role for Gilas Pilipinas during the 2013 World Cup Qualifying in Manila which eventually led them to World Cup in Spain after 40 years. (HGD)
