P338K in 'shabu' seized in 3 days

AN ESTIMATED P338,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate drug bust in Negros Occidental from July 13 to 15.

On July 15, Rhujie Bello, 42, of Barangay 27, was arrested at Barangay 19 after he yielded three sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing seven grams amounting to P84,000, the P1,000 marked money, a cellular phone, and a coin purse. He is a newly identified drug personality.

Last Saturday, Richard Lagos, 28, of Barangay Rizal was collared after police raided his house and recovered five sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams worth P120,000, the P1,100 marked money, P1,200 in cash, drug paraphernalia, a .22 caliber magnum, and two live ammunition.

Also arrested in the city were Bartulin family - Elma, April, Bryan, and Nino Kim - after the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas raided their alleged drug den.

Marialyn Ballar, Miguelito De Asis, and Luis Tuhao, who were all present during the operation, were also arrested.

Authorities confiscated from them 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams worth P102,000, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money.

In Cadiz City, Juda Maningo, 52, of Barangay Zone 4 was arrested on the same day at Barangay Jerusalem for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs. He is the eighth drug personality in the city.

Police seized from him four sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, cellular phone, and the P500 marked money.

In Bacolod City, Anthony Retez, 27, of Barangay Mansilingan, was also arrested on July 14 after police recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu, an improvised tooter, and the P500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 7.

Still in the city, Gilbert Oblianda, 33, of Barangay Singcang-Airport was arrested after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000, the P200 marked money, and P300 in cash. He is detained at Police Station 8.

On July 13, Martilee Demafiles, 37, of Barangay Banago was collared after he sold a shabu to a police agent for P200.

He further yielded two sachets of suspected shabu. Demafiles is detained at Police Station 3.
