San Fernando cited for ease of doing business

PAMPANGA. FOR the fifth time, the City of San Fernando bagged the 2017 Most Successful LGU (local government unit) in the Institutionalization of BPLS (Business Permit and Licensing System) Reforms in Central Luzon which was conferred by the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc. during the 12th Recognition of Outstanding Central Luzon LGUs Implementing the Streamlining Program in the Issuance of Mayor’s Permit held at the Diwa ng Tarlak Convention Center, Tarlac City last June 29, 2018.

The award was presented during the Monday’s flag raising ceremony at the city hall atrium led by Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago together with Vice- Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Gustav John Henson and city department heads.

The city received plaques of recognition and cash prize amounting to P20,000.

Also, the city received plaques of recognition from the Regional Development Council’s Special Committee on Competitiveness for being the 2017 fourth overall competitive city in the Philippines, wherein the city was ranked second for economic dynamism, sixth for resiliency, and 10th for infrastructure.
