THE City Council will give recognition and appreciation to outgoing punong barangay officials during a ceremony scheduled Wednesday, July 18, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Baguio City.
The said commendation is by virtue of a resolution penned by Baguio City Vice Mayor Edison Bilog. Resolution Numbered 211, Series of 2018 has quantified the powers and functions of barangay officials to the development and growth of the city as manifested by the numerous awards that the city had received.
It stated that these barangay officials have been known as active partners of the city towards good governance and in the successful implementation of the various programs, projects and activities that run parallel to all efforts in improving the lives of the city’s constituents.
The said resolution also stated that they have been true to their promises of providing ways and means of improving their communities towards sustainable barangays and have been recognized as productive servants of the city.
Likewise, the city should take the grand opportunity to express its appreciation and thanks to all the outgoing Punong Barangay officials for their leadership and service at the barangay level and to wish them all the best as they continue to serve their constituents in other avenues.
It is therefore benefitting that these immeasurable efforts be recognized through an awarding rites.
