SHEET masks will always be one of my “holy grail” products whenever I have a big day ahead of me or when I am travelling.

A Korean beauty innovation, sheet masks are usually cotton sheets pre-soaked in different kinds of serums which are proven to be beneficial for the skin.

Here are some of the reasons why I love them:

1. Instantly hydrates and brightens your face – No matter what type of sheet mask you choose, your face would surely feel hydrated and brighter after each use.

2. Wide range of serums – Sheet masks come in different types of serums to depending on your skin’s needs. Common ones sheet masks serums include, aloe vera, cucumber, honey, collagen and Hyluronic acid.

3. Won’t take too much time – It only takes about 15-20 minutes to achieve all its skincare benefits.

4. No need to rinse – Since sheet masks are soaked in serums, it serves as an additional step to your daily skincare routine so there is no need to rinse and go back to step one!

5. Cheap – While there are expensive options out there, there are a lot of cheap and effective sheet masks out there which are being sold for P65 pesos or less. Korean beauty shops usually have buy 1 take 1 promos on their sheet masks which is a plus!

Tip: Keep your sheet mask packs inside the fridge. Putting on a cold sheet mask is known to help lessen skin inflammation, enhances product absorption and it overall feels good!

Other than the pre-packed sheet masks, you can also DIY your own sheet masks! All you need is a compressed face mask sheet (they come in packs and look like tablets) that you can buy in Daiso or Miniso, soak it with your favorite serum and voila - you now have your very own sheet mask.

Until next week!
