ONE suspected drug personality was killed while four others were arrested in three separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in two cities in Pampanga on Tuesday evening, July 17.
In the City of San Fernando, police operatives headed by Superintendent Levi Hope Basilio were able to neutralize a suspected drug personality identified as Raven Caligner, 25, during a drug bust conducted in Northville 14, Barangay Malpitic.
Caligner, who possibly sensed that he was transacting with a poseur buyer, fired at the operating team which prompted police to retaliate. An armed encounter ensued which resulted to the immediate death of the suspect, while his cohort, who remained unidentified, managed to flee.
Another drug bust was conducted in Barangay Sta. Lucia in the same city which resulted to the arrest of a target drug personality identified as Elsa Pamintuan, 40, and confiscation of nine sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) amounting to P9,000.
Meanwhile, personnel of Mabalacat City police were able to arrest two suspected drug personalities identified as Anthony Daniel Cortez, 32, and Emerson Maylos, 21, during a drug bust at South Daang Bakal Bakal in Barangay Dau, said city.
Confiscated during the operation were a total of eleven sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6,000.
Violations of Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act have been filed against the suspects while the recovered pieces of evidence were submitted to the Regional Criminal Laboratory in Camp Olivas for examination.
