MABALACAT -- Elements of the town police arrested two men who were allegedly sniffing shabu inside a house in Barangay Dau here.
The suspects were identified as Demostenes Mende, 42, a tricycle driver, of South Daang Bakal, Barangay Dau, this town; and Carlo Mabalo, 35, of Roxas Street, Barangay Dau here.
Superintendent Rolly Mendoza, town police officer-in-charge, said Mende and Mabalo were in a “pot smoking session” when approached by policemen.
Mendoza said they have filed charged against the two for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Shabu and several drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects, Mendoza said.
Mende and Mabalo are now detained at the Mabalacat Police Station. They will be turned over to the Central Luzon Drug Rehabilitation Center (CLDRC) in nearby Magalang town for rehabilitation, Mendoza added.
Mendoza said the town police have intensified anti-drug campaign following the directive of Mayor Marino Morales to rid the town of illegal drugs.
