A FIRE destroyed a mercantile at Barangay Poblacion in Valladolid, Negros Occidental Tuesday, July 17.
Based on the report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire broke out around 5:13 p.m. when the circuit breaker got destroyed due to the leak from the roof of the food eatery owned by 56-year-old Valeriana Cabu-ay during a heavy rainfall.
It caused an electrical short circuit.
The fire reached second alarm wherein BFP in San Enrique augmented the Valladolid firefighters.
The fire was put out after seven minutes. It left an estimated damage of P70,000.
No injuries were reported. (GYM)
