Mamac vows to continue service

A FORMER village chairman in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City has vowed to continue serving his constituents.

Tony Mamac, who served for three consecutive terms as barangay chief, said he will do his new task being elected as first councilor in said village.

Elected as councilor with less task than a village chairman, Mamac said he now spends much time with his family just like during the celebration of his birthday last July 16.

“For 10 years, I celebrated my birthday with my constituents in the barangay. After 11 years of continuous public service as executive officer of our barangay, I have now enough time for my family. Though I was still elected as Number 1 Kagawad, the duties and functions is different as that of an executive,” Mamac said.

“We will do our job as barangay legislators focusing on the general welfare of our constituents,” he added.

Former congressman Carmelo Tarzan Lazatin, who also served as city mayor for several terms, defeated Mamac’s wife in the race for Balibago’s chairmanship in the recent barangay election.
