A 39-year old man, accused of sexually abusing a minor, was arrested by elements of the city police recently.
Don Aquino Gutierrez, 39, of Mawaque Resettlement Center in Mabalacat city, was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the Judge Maria Angelica T. Paras of the Regional Trial Court Branch 59.
Senior Inspector Agnes Nolasco, public information officer of the Angeles City police office, said that a team of police officers of Police Station 3 under the command of Chief Inspector Neil Rainer Mercado led the serving of the arrest warrant against Gutierrez.
The city police mobile group, headed by Superintendent Romeo Castro, assisted Mercado’s men during the operation, according to Nolasco.
Gutierrez was charged in court for violation of Section 5 (B) of Republic Act Number 7610 (Sexual Abuse) under criminal case number R-ANG-18-01577-CR.
The court set a bail of P200,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty. Gutierrez is now detained at the Police Station 3, Nolasco added.
