KARONG umaabot Hulyo 27, mahibaw-an sa mga Sugbuanon ang dangatan sa gihuwat-huwat nga Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project kon madayon ba o dili.
Ang secretary sa National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) Ernesto Pernia nibutyag kagahapon nga ang desisyon kabahin sa maong proyekto mahibaw-an sa naasoy nga petsa atol sa Neda-Investment Committee (ICC) meeting.
“There is a letter ready for signing by Secretary Tugade giving their final, conclusive decision on the Cebu BRT,” si Pernia kinsa nahinabi sa Superbalita Cebu.
Malaumon ang maong opisyal nga mohatag og go signal ang ICC sa maong proyekto tungod kay anaa na kini feasibility studies ug pundo aron mapatuman kini.
“My suspicion is based on our latest conversation with Secretary Tugade that it’s (BRT) a go with some amendments. That’s my expectation,” dugang ni Pernia.
Gipasabot ni Pernia nga aduna’y sugyot ang Department of Transportation sa maong proyekto nga aduna’y gitas-on nga 23 kilometros.
Gusto nga limitahan ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade ang BRT sa Sugbo sa 17 kilometros lang tungod kay ang nahabiling 6 kilometros, hagip-ot yg gikinahanglan ang anaa sa taas nga sky train o monorail transit niini.
“The six kilometers is too narrow for a BRT, so gusto niya instead of a BRT the remaining six kilometers ay iyong skytrain, a monorail that is above the ground. That’s our latest conversation,” si Pernia nagkanayon.
Gipasabot hinuon niini nga kon pananglitan nga mopresentar kini og desisyon nga di ipadayon ang maong proyekto sa Sugbo, ipaagi gihapon kini og deliberasyon sa ubang ahensiya ubos sa ICC.
“Assuming that he (Tugade) will say na hindi pwede, hindi naman yun final eh kasi DOF has a view on it, Neda has a view on it, DBM has a view on it, Public Works and Higways meron din. There are other members eh, that will be collegially deliberated, the collegial decision is what will matter. Hindi lang yung DOtr,” pagpasabot ni Pernia.
Ang maong P17 bilyones nga proyekto maggikan sa Bulacao, subay sa N. Bacalso Avenue, Osmeña Blvd., Escario, Ayala padung sa Talamban, ug ubang busways sa Bulacao paingon sa Ayala ug South Road Properties (SRP).
Gisuwayan pa pagtawag ni Pernia si Tugade kagahapon kabahin sa nigawas nga taho sa mantalaan nga gi-suspend una ang BRT sa Sugbo ug Manila apan wa motubag kaniya.
Si Tugade misulti na sa pipila ka mga higayon nga di kaayo siya pabor sa BRT tungod sa hagip-ot nga mga dan nga agian niini nga di haum sa sistema.(HBL)
