IT’S always a treat knowing that at some time every year the Best of Cebu party is just around the corner; even more so knowing that the rest of Cebu is gearing up for it too. Last Friday proved just that at SunStar’s Best of Cebu party presented by Organique and AirAsia which took place at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Crowds flocked from booth to booth indulging in all there was to indulge in from food, drinks, music and more. Not only that, it was also a stunning showcase of style-savvy guests who showed a thing or two on how to rock the Best of Cebu party. Surely, there’s another one to look forward to next year. But while that’s still in the near future, take a cue from just some of the many fashionable partygoers photographed this year for the next one to come, or simply for whatever’s on the day-to-day agenda.

Comfort is key but comfort doesn’t mean sacrificing one’s choice of fashion. In this case it means wearing something that makes you feel great without the fuss. Going out and about especially with events like this, there will be a lot of walking around, a lot of mingling and even dancing, so don something that makes you feel free to move while still catching everyone’s eye.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with your outfits from colors, patterns and such. This is what fashion is all about: having fun wearing something you found in your closet—or the closet of your sibling’s that you raided. The beauty about Filipinos is their love for fashion no matter the occasion—even the weather doesn’t stop them from wearing whatever they want to wear.

Being prepared doesn’t hurt; in fact it saves you plenty of time. If you know you’re going out tomorrow to an event, determine the dress code, lay out some options the day before to avoid the usual “I have nothing to wear” situation which usually leads to a colossal mess. Check out some outfit ideas on the internet too.

Wear a conversation piece. “Oh this old thing?” and so begins the conversation. Whether it’s jewelry, a bag; a stately piece takes the whole look up a notch and not only brings out the outfit together but also gives it that special “it” factor.
