A HIGH-value target drug personality was arrested by policemen in Zamboanga Sibugay province, the police said Friday, July 20, 2018.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Eddie Elicanal alias Yoyong, 21.
Galvez said Elicanal, who is listed as number four drug personality, was arrested around 2 p.m. Thursday in the village of Little Baguio, Imelda.
She said the suspect was arrested after his grandmother requested for police assistance that her grandson has bought suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and was believed having a pot session inside his room.
Galvez said the suspect yielded four small-sized plastic sachets of suspected shabu when the responding police frisked him as he went out of his room.
The police information officer said the inspection was witnessed by the suspect’s mother, and barangay officials, who went along the responding policemen.
She said appropriate charges are set to be filed against the suspect, who was detained at the police headquarters of Imelda. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
