ACTRESS, model and new mom Isabelle Daza finally introduced her son to the world.
Since she gave birth three months ago, the 30-year-old had never shared any photos of her son’s face and never revealed his name, which made her millions of followers curious.
On Thursday, the It girl posted series of Instagram stories serving as an explanation why it took her months to “launch” her son.
“I don’t know why, but I felt so instinctly protective when he was born. Like, I wanted to shelter him from the world. Maybe that’s what it meant to become a mother?” Daza said in her Instagram stories.
“I wanted to keep these first few months with him to myself. Like keeping these moments precious. Maybe it’s ‘cause he was still so little. Maybe it’s ‘cause I was scared he would be judged by how he looked. Maybe it’s ‘cause I wasn’t ready to face the world with how I looked,” she continued.
“Maybe it’s ‘cause after I show him, that’s it; the world will ‘own him.’ Or maybe it’s ‘cause I’m too vain and I’m overthinking it and no one really cares. Whatever it is, that was my truth,” she said.
Daza, before revealing her son’s name, remembered her dad whose second death anniversary was last Saturday.
Daza disclosed that her husband, Adrien Semblat, named her son after her dad Gabriel “Bong” Daza.
“And maybe there’s no perfect time to show him. But here he is. My son’s name is: Balthazar Gabriel Daza Semblat,” Daza revealed.
“His nickname is Baltie or Baltieboo,” she added.
She then posted a photo of Baltie, who is smiling brightly, with the caption: “A child should not have to earn their parents’ love. He should rest in it. You can rest in my love, Baltie.”
Daza gave birth last April.
She and Semblat got married in Italy in September 2016.
