2 Cebu developers tie up with Colliers

TWO Cebuano real estate developers have signed a partnership with Colliers International Philippines to manage the leasing of their latest developments.

Alpa Land Inc. commissioned Colliers International Philippines to manage the leasing of their latest project, ADG IT Tower.

ADG IT Tower is an eight-storey commercial and Peza-certified building located in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

“Colliers International’s team has demonstrated their service excellence and market knowledge and we are happy to have them as our partner in achieving our growth targets,” said Barbara Gothong-Tan, chief executive officer of Alpa Land, Inc.

According to Colliers, the building is projected to generate interest from both business process management (BPM) and traditional occupants.

“The demand for office space in Cebu is primarily driven by a dynamic services sector which covers more than half of Central Visayas’ economy. The economic sub-segment has been getting a boost from Cebu’s outsourcing sector. The expansion of current BPM and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) locators, as well as continued influx of new players, has been sustaining office space absorption in the city,” said Andrew Gomez, Colliers’ director for offices services – landlord representation.

Grand Land Inc., the Gaisano Grand Group’s real estate arm, has likewise appointed Colliers to manage the leasing of its mixed-use, office condominium development named Grand Tower Cebu.

Grand Tower Cebu is the first high-rise and mixed-use project at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu. It is a 30-storey building that has three components: office spaces, hotel and retail outlets.

“Grand Tower is one of our focal projects in Cebu and is a critical part of our growth strategy. We are confident that Colliers International will contribute well to the success of this development with their excellent service and global track record,” said Ryan Bernard Go, president of Grand Land, Inc.

Colliers said it sees Grand Tower capturing a large fraction of the thriving KPO in Cebu.

KPO companies that provide higher value outsourcing services such as health information management, software engineering, and finance and accounting are emerging as major contributors to office space absorption in Cebu, said Colliers. (KOC)
