Constanilla: A must-watch film

FILM. “Jacqueline Comes Home” is a must-watch feature film that Ysabelle Peach excellently directed--one that she could be so proud of. To think that it’s her very first directorial assignment involving Cebuano actors and actresses that had no acting experience before, except those that took part in stage plays. I could feel the big challenge that the young director felt while doing her job but she did it with flying colors.

PROUD. I’m sure Peach’s dad is very proud of what she has achieved in the filmmaking department. Being a veteran director, Carlo J. Caparas must have noticed how his daughter toiled so hard if only to deliver a product that both of them could be so proud of. After all, this particular movie is not a biased presentation of facts surrounding a highly sensational case that happened 21 years ago.

APPEAL. I have already seen the movie and I’m so impressed with the overall production. Peach was able to execute her task with much diligence and meticulousness, as if she was already a veteran director. I learned that she only got some tips from her dad every now and then during the filming, but he basically gave her the freedom on how to accomplish her job. If you haven’t seen her maiden film yet, I appeal that you do so now. It’s still showing in cinemas nationwide, including SM City, SM Consolacion and SM Seaside.

CLUB. I gathered that a lawyer-musician is thinking of organizing another club of local musicians and other entertainers. By the way, what’s the latest score on the one-year-old Sugboanong Musikero Inc.?
