DILIGENCE is being industrious, meticulous, conscientious, thorough, attentive, and careful in doing things.
It is accomplishing a task in a praiseworthy manner. It is not giving service in a half-hearted and half-hazard way.
Love for a certain job is an essential ingredient. It is having a holistic perspective in completing a certain undertaking; thereby, all potential problems are timely addressed.
However, being diligent is one and staying focus is another. We can be diligent on something for no reason or for different reasons. That is being diligent without focus. It happens when every member of the workforce pursues their personal agenda. To be diligent with focus, we must ensure that we do not only do things well but towards the fulfillment of a general objective.

When the works inside the person are exceptional, his or her outputs are likely to be outstanding. When the working personnel are of good quality, equivalent result will manifest in the work of their hands. Focus towards the achievement of the overall vision will not even be a critical issue as they have denied themselves and will naturally pursue the good of the majority.
Diligence with focus is likened to this advice: Make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self- control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. In this way, there is no room for regression.
