4 teams top 3-on-3

THE Assassins, Shotz Elite, Mikawa and Tagum Squadrons shared top honors as the Felcris Centrale 3-on-3 Street Jam Season 2 came to a close yesterday at the Alfresco Area of Felcris Centrale.

Assassins, composed of Clemente Ruiz, Joshua Cerbas, Alvin Calatayud and Jayve Rusiana, demolished Tadeco 20-8, in the finals of the open division of the event sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Davao and co-presented by the Sports Development Division-City Mayors Office (SDD-CMO).

Ruiz paced the pack with eight points as Calatayud added seven.

The Ivan San Diego, James Doblado, Mahloney Tarranza and Lois Josol-bannered Shotz Elite, on the other hand, crushed Sacal 21-10, in the championship round to clinch the juniors division.

Doblado scored seven points while Tarranza added six points.

San Diego, who made a show time with a back-to-back slam in the final minute, chipped in five points while Josol dropped four markers.

Mikawa, for its part, clobbered the Brave Reds 19-5, in the finals behind the dominance of Arnie Villanueva who erupted 13 points.

John Rey Pasaol also scored six points as teammates Josef Regil Lomuljo and Kurt Vincent Magbanua asserted their presence in the defensive end to help Mikawa capture the jayvees division title.

The visiting Tagum Squadrons, meanwhile, brought home the mini division title at the expense of Assumption College of Davao Warriors.

The Squadrons posted a 14-7 win over the Warriors in the finals behind the balance scoring of Randy Gimona, Lorwyne Libre, Eloridge Jay Bakuiz and Angelo Ongcay.

Meantime, Mark Romard Hernandez won the Felcris four-poiny challenge while Allan Abais emerged the three-point king.
