PRO-Western Visayas relieves 16 Negrense cops

SIXTEEN policemen from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) were relieved from their posts Monday, July 23.

Superintendent Joem Malong, public information officer of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, said on Sunday, July 22, the order came from the regional headquarters upon the order of Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, regional police director.

The police chiefs who were transferred were Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto of Sagay City Police Station, Chief Inspector Joshua Villasis of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station, Senior Inspector Jovito Bose of Salvador Benedicto Municipal Police Station, and Senior Inspector Celjun Nemenio of Candoni Municipal Police Station.

Nemenio, Bose, Villasis, and Mansueto were all transferred to Antique Provincial Police Office (APPO).

Malong said the four police chiefs failed to comply operational accomplishments in the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and crime solution efficiency.

Also relieved were Chief Inspector Gary Alan Resuma, who just assumed the post of Chief Inspector Reuben Pajarito in Isabela town last week through the request of Mayor Joselito Malabor.

However, the mayor said he will appeal to Bulalacao to retain Resuma in the town.

Resuma was moved to Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).

Also relieved while they were on a floating status at Nocppo headquarters were: Chief Inspector Robert Dejucos, who was transferred to APPO; Senior Inspectors Bonifacio Aral Jr., Glenn John Grajo, Wilfredo Gelongo, and Erica Apellido, who were all moved to Regional Operation and Plans Division; Senior Inspector Ronald Santillan, who was transferred to IPPO; Superintendent German Garbosa, who was moved to Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) and Superintendent Cresencianao Cordero Jr., who was moved to Appo; and Inspectors Stanley Mendoza, and Raymund Franco, who were both moved to Iloilo Provincial Police Office (Ippo).

Malong said the basis of the relief of the 12 was because they have no specific assignments or designations yet at Nocppo headquarters.

Meanwhile, Inspector Aireen Cordua, public information officer of Nocppo, said Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., provincial director, has yet to issue an order for the replacements of the four sacked police chiefs.
