Pangan: MCG and MCC: Big exponents of education

IT WAS reported that Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo had been emphatic in his vision to provide quality education to residents of the City, especially the youth.

In various groundbreaking ceremonies last week, Mayor Garbo, along with other officials, committed to support projects aimed to provide pupils/students a conducive environment to learning.

In his continuous thrust to enhance quality education, mindful of the law giving access to quality tertiary education, Mayor Garbo has vowed to give all-out support to public schools citywide, including giving them equipment and logistics to expand their technical and physical facilities.

He never tires to exhort students and even out-of-school youths about the positive effects and impact of having quality education. For him, good quality education is the key to progress and successful undertakings for students and young leaders of the city.

There is no alternative to good quality education in building a strong nation, he says, and adds: this contributes to developing a responsible,

sensible and committed citizenry.

He urged the student population to move up to the higher echelons of learning. We have the Mabalacat City College, he avers, which provide solutions to dreams of acquiring college degrees, another avenue to provide decent and adequate livelihood for oneself and family.

Mabalacat City College or MCC, established in 2008, is now a landmark in the City's educational landscape. It has produced several LET and Customs Brokers exam passers and continues to build up its mission to achieve excellence through good, sustained quality instruction. It is manned by dedicated, committed and accomplished educators led by its President, Dr. Carmelita P. Sotto who continues to explore ways to improve tertiary education with the support and encouragement of the Commission on Higher Education or CHED. It has given MCC the Certificate of Recognition after the college has submitted all the requirements for recognition.

It can be clearly said that Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo (MCG) and the Mabalacat City College (MCC) are both strong advocates of good quality education and are well-regarded (and awarded) in their quest.
