A 33-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for allegedly posting yesterday morning on Facebook that a bomb would explode at the Cebu City Health Department.

Mabolo Police Station Chief Dindo Alaras identified the suspect as Carmelinda Caballero Dumagpi, a resident of Kawit, Barangay Ermita.

The health department, represented by Dr. Alice Marie Aycardo, reported to the police after reading Dumagpi’s post, which read: “Wag kayong mag trabaho may bomba ang city health. Hahahaaha sasabog ito ika ugma sa buntag (Don’t work as there is a bomb in the city health. It will explode tomorrow morning.”

Afterwards, the operatives traced Dumagpi’s address and brought her to the police station.

A team from the Special Weapons and Tactics and Explosives and Ordnance Disposal searched the city health office. They did not find any improvised explosive devices and declared the building as safe.

Dumagpi will face a complaint for violating Presidential Decree 1727, which punishes persons who spread unlawful and the malicious dissemination of false information of the willful making of any thereat concerning bomb, explosives of any similar device or means of destruction. KAL
