Fake customers attack sales lady

A SALESLADY was attacked by two suspects who pretended to be customers inside a store on Abanao Street, Baguio City on July 25.

A police report said the suspects choked and hit 25–year–old saleslady Diane (not her real name) with a plank of wood.

Mjhay Blancada Perol, 28, a resident of Cubao, Quezon City, and Andrei Tuzon, a resident of Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet, were arrested during a hot pursuit operation conducted by the Baguio City Office Station 7.

Police arrested Perol at the Victory Liner Bus Terminal while Tuzon was arrested at the Maharlika Building.

Both have been charged with robbery with violence. Some of the items that they took from the store were recovered.

The police report said the suspects went inside the store and ordered several items from Diane, a native of Rizal, Kalinga but currently residing in Campo Sioco.

Diane texted her fellow saleslady Virlen, who was manning another stall at the 3rd floor, for help.

The suspects allegedly ordered various apparel, casserole and shoes.

After the items had been packed and Virlen had returned to her post, the suspects allegedly Covered Diane's mouth with a piece of cloth and attacked her before casually walking out of the store with their haul.

The victim sought help from her neighbor who brought her to the hospital for treatment. (Jonathan Llanes)
