Holy Angel University wins Super Quiz Bee

ANGELES CITY - Holy Angel University (HAU) emerged as the champion in the Inter-High School Super Quiz Bee held at Angeles University Foundation (AUF) last January 26.

HAU bested seven other schools in the academic contest. It was able to defend its title in the quiz bee organized by the Pathways AUF Chapter at the St. Cecilia's auditorium of AUF.

The second and third place was a close match between the Don Bosco Academy and Systems Plus College Foundation, respectively.

According to Michael Bustos, head coach of the winning team, their every Saturday review activity paid-off and resulted in attaining the title.

Royette Mamangun, fourth year high school student; Camille Calma, fourth year; and Jayson Cortez, third year were able to prove that they really deserved to hold the title.

Bustos said before the competition, he already advised his team to give their best in every given question because they have to uphold the title for being the champion last year.

With the theme "Clash the Revealed Potentials", Leonard Grape, president of the Pathways AUF Chapter, said the competition's main goal was to make an avenue where the participants can exhibit their "intellectual potentials and gifts." (Cris Balingit, AUF Intern)
