GARBAGE collectors of the Davao City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) on Sunday, July 29, found a chopped female body inside a black garbage bag placed in front of a pawnshop on Cabantian Road in Buhangin in Davao City.
Buhangin police initial investigation revealed that Ranel Paña, 37, a garbage collector, along with his other colleagues, discovered the garbage bag where the chopped up human body was placed in a transparent plastic cellophane at around 5:45 a.m., during their regular rounds.
The remains were brought to the Angel Funeral Homes along F. Torres Street by police investigators Senior Police Officer 1 Ian Irvin Fernandez and PO3 Alex Domagas.
The bag contained the head, both arms, both legs, and upper torso. The lower torso was missing. Investigation is ongoing.
