Passport on wheels’ set on September 6

A TOTAL OF 500 passport applicants in Negros Occidental will have the chance to process their applications immediately as the Provincial Government, in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and SM City Bacolod, will sponsor “Passport on Wheels” on September 6 at the SM City Atrium.

The DFA will fly in about 17 of its staff from the central office to process these applications.

Applicants should register at the Special Projects and Concerns Division (SPCD), third floor of the Provincial Capitol Building starting August 1 to 31, except weekends and holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and bring their Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued birth certificate and one valid identification card (ID).

Registered applicants will receive a confirmation email with a reference number and will pay P1,200 to accredited payment centers as provided during registration.

Upon payment, applicants will receive a second email confirming the application and e-receipts which the applicants will bring together with all other requirements and original ID on the actual date of the Passport on Wheels.

No walk-in applicants will be allowed on September 6.

The City Government of Kabankalan is also sponsoring the same event and will cater to 500 applicants on September 5 at the Function Hall of Kabankalan Training Center.

The program is aimed to help reduce congestion in passport processing and assist those individuals who cannot go online to schedule their applications.

For more inquiries, you may visit or call the Special Projects and Concerns Division at telephone numbers 434-0631 or 709-0150 and look for Lisa, Jenny or Normel. (PR)
