TACLOBAN City police have arrested a fellow police officer for alleged robbery hold-up in two separate incidents in the city last week.
City Police Station-1 operatives nabbed Police Officer 3 Marianito Tondo Jr. in a hot pursuit operation on July 31 after witnesses identified him through closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footages.
Tondo allegedly robbed theTacloban Rufrance Gas Corporation in Barangay 96-Calanipawan on July 29 and another LPG store in San Jose on July 25.
The police officer, who is reportedly attending a Public Safety Junior Leadership course at the Philippine Public Safety College in San Jose, carted away a total of P3,900 cash in the two robbery incidents.
The policeman is now detained, while administrative and criminal charges are readied against him. (SunStar Philippines)
