Negros Occidental police office implements reshuffling

THE Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) implemented a reshuffling to fill the vacancies of four police stations.

Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, public information of Nocppo, said Thursday, August 2, that Superintendent Adonis Rosales was relieved from his post as chief of Talisay City Police Station on August 1 after he had served the station for two years already.

He was replaced by Superintendent Boots Aseo, who just finished taking up Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course and was previously assigned at Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) in Police Regional Office in Western Visayas.

Rosales was transferred to Provincial General Services Unit (PGSU) as camp commander and concurrently heads the Human Rights Affair Office (HRAO) at Nocppo headquarters.

Also relieved was Chief Inspector Nazer Canja, former chief of Sipalay City Police Station. He was moved to Talisay City Police Station, replacing Senior Inspector Joseph Cantonina as deputy police chief.

Cantonina was transferred to San Carlos City Police Station as deputy police chief, replacing Chief Inspector Anthony Grande, who was assigned as officer-in-charge (OIC) of Sipalay City Police Station.

Chief Inspector Robert Dejucos from PGSU was designated as OIC of Calatrava Municipal Police Station.

Chief Inspector Edfel Balibadlan, former deputy of the 2nd Maneuver Company of Provincial Mobile Force Company, was moved to Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station as OIC.

Cordua said police stations in Calatrava and Moises Padilla towns were previously headed by deputy police chiefs -- Senior Inspector Roger Pama, and Inspector Minardo Ellaga, respectively, as there had been no replacements yet during the relief of the previous police chiefs last month.

Meanwhile, Inspector Alejandro De Venecia and Inspector Herman Ecal, deputy police chiefs of E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station and Toboso Municipal Police Station, respectively swapped their posts due to personal reasons, Cordua said. (GYM)
