Zayco: 21st Charter is my last charter as mayor

KABANKALAN City Mayor Isidro Zayco was grateful for the overall success of the 21st Charter anniversary of their city.

However, he considers this year’s celebration as his last Charter as mayor as he will end his term in 2019.

“Even if I will be out of politics soon, I will still be here to help our city in whatever capacity I will be in,” he said.

Their celebration is anchored on the yearly staging of the Udyakan Festival.

It was graced by Senator Cynthia Villar, who congratulated the officials and the people of Kabankalan for the progress they brought and enjoyed together.

She gave them an input of having a tourism farm and farm school in Kabankalan City and even in Negros Occidental.

Negros has vast agricultural lands and produces various kinds of agricultural products. When these are introduced to the public, where there is a farm tour and dining, people will have an extra income aside from promoting and living a healthy lifestyle, the senator said.

Kabankalan’s Charter celebration kicked off July 28 to August 2.
