Guv reiterates commitment to help BIR

GOVERNOR Lilia Pineda on Monday, August 6, reaffirmed her support for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as she lauded the agency’s role in making Pampanga vibrant.

Pineda said the provincial government will be donating some 2,000 square meters of additional land space to the BIR here.

Pineda made the announcement during the recent inauguration of the new BIR complex here adding that the additional land would fully address the parking space problems of the agency and remove unnecessary vehicle parking and traffic congestion in front of the BIR’s section of the MacArthur Highway in Barangay Sindalan.

This as the BIR has fully transferred operations to its new building complex on a one-hectare property donated by the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

The buildings include the BIR Regional Office Building, Document Processing Division and offices for the Revenue District Office No. 21A North Pampanga and Revenue District Office No. 21B South Pampanga.

BIR regional director Jethro Sabariaga welcomed the new land donation, adding that it will contribute in the overall operations of the BIR here. He also expressed his optimism that the BIR will be able to meet its target collection this year as per the marching order of Commissioner Cesar Dulay.
