3 top ‘most wanted’ persons nabbed

THREE top “most wanted” persons in Negros Occidental were arrested in separate operations in the past two days.

In Silay City, a resident of Guinhalaran City, whose name was withheld, was served with an arrest warrant for two counts of rape. He is the top most wanted person in the city.

The arrest warrant with no bail recommended was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 40 Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio.

In Candoni town, Rolando Dela Cruz, 20, of Barangay Agboy was arrested on Tuesday, at the said village for frustrated homicide. He is the top most wanted person in the town.

The warrant was issued by RTC Branch 61 Judge Rodney Magbanua. The court had set a bail of P24,000 for his provisional liberty.

In Himamaylan City, Benny Fausto, 57, of Barangay San Antonio, was arrested in the said village on Tuesday for attempted homicide. He is the 10th most wanted person in the city.

The warrant was issued by Municipal Trial Court in Cities Judge Florentino Labis in Himamaylan City. The court had set a bail of P12,000 for his provisional liberty. (Faith Hope Lauren, STI West Negros University Intern)
