Murder raps filed vs 2 men on Alijis stabbing

CHARGES for murder and frustrated murder were filed on Tuesday against two men who killed two brothers and injured their friend at Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City over the weekend.

Chief Inspector Ramel Sarona, head of Police Station 7, identified the suspects as Villamor Pabayos, 26, of Manjuyod, and Jason Engienela, 20, of Tanjay City, both in Negros Oriental.

Pabayos was turned over by village officials to the police last Tuesday after he surfaced at the barangay hall to clear his involvement on the incident.

However, he was positively identified by a witness, who claimed he was one of the suspects who committed the crime.

Sarona said Engienela remained at large as police in the neighboring province also failed to locate his whereabouts after he was reportedly hiding at his hometown.

Both suspects are working as helpers or delivery boys of a softdrinks business in Bacolod.

On August 5, the two suspects allegedly stabbed to death Jessie Naranja, 20, and his elder brother Jonathan, 28, after they got involved in a commotion inside a bar.

The victims' friend Jerry Martinez, 18, was severely injured and is recuperating at a hospital.
