TWO persons were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in separate operations in Negros Occidental Wednesday, August 8.
In Ilog town, policemen arrested 39-year-old Romilo Laniohan of Cauayan town after he yielded a .357 revolver with three live ammunition at Barangay Tabu.
In Murcia town, Ardeliano Alib Jr., 40, a farmer, of Barangay Canlandog was collared after police raided his house through a search warrant.
Police seized from him a .45 caliber pistol, two magazines and 11 live ammunition of the said firearm, two barrels of an improvised shotgun, a magazine of an improvised 12 gauge shotgun, and eight live ammunition of .60 caliber. (Debbie Benedicto, STI West Negros University intern)
