BOB was a religious golfer. Every Sunday morning, he headed to the golf course. It did not matter what the weather was like. It could be raining, but Bob did not care.
One Sunday, Bob finally met his match with the weather. He got up early and drove out to the course, hoping the weather would improve by the time he hit the first tee. But once at the course, he knew he was beat. It was raining so hard and there was lightning.
For the first time in years, Bob headed back home that Sunday morning. His wife was still in bed when he got there, so he took off his clothes, snuggled up to his wife's backside and said "Terrible weather out there." "Yeah," his wife replied, "and can you believe my idiot husband went golfing?"...hmmm, naughty cheating wife. Very bad!
This joke reminds me of the weather we've been having these couple of weeks. Lousy. Definitely not golfing weather. But how nice of the sun to come out and shine last Tuesday. I was finally able to play golf at Rancho Palos Verdes with my Uncle Roy and my friend, Bill. We played at 8 a.m. How nice the weather was. It was cool when we started, and after a couple of hours, the sun started to shine, but it was not hot, just a little warm and there was a cool breeze that is similar to that of Tagaytay's. I hope we will have more golfing weather in the coming weeks. Can't wait to get back into the game.
The 2010 PGA Season has started. No word from Tiger Woods about when he's coming back. How sad. But just so you know, the first major tournament is going to be in April 8-11, which is The Masters in Augusta National. If Tiger were to come back, he would probably join The Masters since it is the most prestigious tournament in the PGA tour. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Gossip about the marital problems of Tiger and Elin Woods is quickly fading away. Why? The new juicy gossip that has been spreading around is about the separation of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I was devastated when I heard the news. I happen to like that couple. I'm such a fan. Angelina supposedly had an affair with her dialect coach for her upcoming Russian spy movie. But you know what, the gossip is not true. They are still together. I am so happy. Why am I talking about Brad and Angelina in my golf column? It just so happens that Brad and Angelina have started playing golf already. Hehe. Joke! About the Woods couple, I do hope Tiger and Elin will work things out, and soon. And maybe Elin will convince Tiger to start playing golf again.
