Transcom, Awesome OS ink partnership

TRANSCOM Holding AB has entered into a partnership with Davao-based Awesome OS, a leading niche e-commerce customer experience specialist, to improve its customer service in Davao City.

“We believe that bringing the two organizations together sees significant growth for the two organizations working hand in hand shoulder to shoulder,” Transcom’s Global English Region CEO Mark Lyndsell said during the Transcom Awesome OS media invite on Thursday, August 9, at the Ayala Business Center, Matina, Davao City.

Lyndsell added that it has been their goal also to look and expand their company outside Metro Manila and to find a company which also caters to a unique working environment.

He added that the company also values how Dabawenyos show their working skills and interest in committing themselves in the company they are working for.

“That’s why we chose them, because they care about their people,” Awesome OS CEO Roger Kuo said.

He added the partnership of the two companies will cater to innovative outlook in bringing the best customer service.

Belle Bales, People Officer for Transcom, said the partnership between Transcom will not halt Awesome OS with its goal for this year to expand. Bales said Awesome OS will continue to accept more talents in Davao for the next months to come.

Transcom assured Awesome OS that its culture of a stress-free environment through nontechnical calls will still continue even with the partnership.

“This partnership will allow us to continue to deliver truly differentiated customer experience solutions and enable Awesome OS to enter new markets such as Europe and Latin America,” Kuo said.

In a statement, Awesome OS Co-Founder Johnny Cheng said the partnership represents a special milestone for all of the team members, and the entire Awesome OS community.

“We have enhanced our services to clients with Transcom’s global operations, multilingual delivery, and robust operational excellence. Together with Transcom, we will continue to build on the group’s unique culture which has been the foundation of our success,” Cheng said.

Lyndsell said with the partnership signed, the combined operation in the Philippines now employs close to 12,000 people.
